ARSA extremist terrorist news- 49

Local people arrive back home as peace and stability prevails

ARSA launched coordinated attacks on at least 30 police outposts on the early morning of 25 August, leaving security personnel, service personnel, ethnic Rakhines, Mro and Dianet minorities as well as Muslims and Hindus dead and injured. The attacks also forced a number of local people to leave their villages.

There are 93 engagements between security personnel and the extremist terrorists in Maungtaw region of Rakhine State during a period between 25 August and 12 September along with 45 incidents of arson attacks.

With a decrease in the number of engagement between security personnel and the extremist terrorists coupled with prevalence of peace and stability in the region local people who ran away from their villages were sent back home.

Those who were sent back home are local people from 15 wards and villages in Maungtaw township, four villages from Yathedaung township and six villages from Buthedaung township totaling 4228.

Security personnel in Maungtaw region remain on duty of the rule of law and some local people were already in their villages as peace and stability prevails.
