ASEAN humanitarian assistance delegation observes repatriation readiness in Maungtaw

To observe the progress of the repatriation process of Myanmar, a delegation led by
Secretary-General of ASEAN Mr. Lim Jock Hoi, Deputy Secretary- General of the ASEAN Social and Culture Community and the executive director of the ASEAN coordinator office for disaster management and humanitarian assistance, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Soe Aung, visited Taung Pyo Letwe Reception Centre, Nga Khu Ya Reception Centre, Hla Phoe Khaung Transit Centre and Shwezar Village.
They observed buildings at the Reception Centres and preparation for immigration works and accommodation. Afterwards, the delegation went to Hla Phoe Khaung Transit Centre and observed apartments and modular houses for accommodation of returnees, readiness for health care, water supply and sanitation, job opportunities, temporary class rooms, clinics, playgrounds for children and domestic jobs for women.
In the afternoon, the delegation met with Rakhine State Chief Minister at the State Government Office and they discussed matters to be cooperated.
