Rakhine State Chief Minister provides cash assistance to displaced people

The Rakhine State Chief Minister and party met with displaced people residing at the
Taungmin and the Kan Saut Monasteries in Taungminkalar and Kansaut villages, Kyauktaw Township yesterday.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that we were fulfilling the requirements of food and shelters in the all possible ways. In case of need, we would supply more assistance such as doctors, nurses and medical aids. Besides, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and the Red Cross Society were supporting the requirements of basic needs. He added that it was needed to discuss openly if they needed any help. Next, the Chief Minister and officials coordinated with the basic requirements of the displaced people.
Following that, the Chief Minister handed over cash assistance to 168 households and each household would receive K 50,000. Moreover, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided rice, longgyis for men and women wears to displaced people and Myanmar Red Cross Society had handed over raincoats, blankets, mosquito nets, school uniforms, kitchen utensils to them.
