Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Special Advisor to Japanese PM

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services received H.E. Mr. Hiroto Izumi, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the meeting, they discussed matters including the process of repatriating displaced persons from the Buthidaung and Maungtaw region of Rakhine State, assistance provided by Japan towards development of Rakhine State.
SWRR Ministry provides aids to people displaced by current conflicts in Rakhine

A coordination meeting to systematically provide aids to the people displaced by current conflicts in Rakhine State was held yesterday at Rakhine State government meeting hall.
At the meeting, Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye said that the recent armed conflicts in Rakhine State effecting the stability, peace and development and so efforts must be made towards achieving sustainable national reconciliation and peace.
Furthermore, he said that the government places great emphasis on regional development and the people in the region and the ministry will strive towards providing a better situation in comparison to the past situation. Supports were provided as soon as conflict occurs. The ministry in cooperation with Rakhine State government was providing funds for rice and cash assistance to killed and wounded peoples while WFP/RCM were providing food, sanitary goods and humanitarian assistances.
