Vice Senior General Soe Win receives UNSG Special Envoy on Myanmar

Vice Senior General Soe Win received the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy on Myanmar Ms. Christine Schraner Burgener in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, matters relating to works conducted on informing internationally the truth in Rakhine State issue by forming an Independent Commission of Enquiry, latest contact and work conducted with UN on child soldiers, Rakhine State development works conducted by Central Committee for the Implementation of Peace and Development in Rakhine State led by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, security situation in northern part of Rakhine State after the events of August 2017, present and future situation of Rakhine State were discussed and views exchanged.
United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy on Myanmar then discussed about working together for making the international (audience) know about the true situation in Rakhine State, according to the news released by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief.
